Bozeman is the recreational and cultural center for Southwest Montana. There is just so much to do you’ll never run out of fun activities. Josie’s is stocked with books, magazines, and maps describing local activities, we’ll help you arrange your day trips. Bozeman has 4 golf courses, 2 public and 2 private; they are all great courses complete with pro shops. The Museum of the Rockies is only a few minutes from Josie’s, and what a wonderful museum it is... you’ll learn a lot about the dinosaurs that inhabited Montana as well as the Native American history and the early pioneers. The museum also boasts a Lewis and Clark exhibit.

Several famous fly-fishing rivers flow near Bozeman, the Gallatin, the Madison, the Yellowstone, the Jefferson and the Missouri as well as inviting spring. There are some inviting spring creeks in nearby Paradise Valley too. We can also help you arrange for a fishing guide or float trip, there are several fly shops in the area. Renting a raft or kayak for a day offers you the opportunity of floating along the Madison River enjoying magnificent scenery.

Of course Southwest Montana is a skiers delight. Bridger Bowl Ski Area is only 15 minutes from Josie’s where you can be one of the first on the slopes in the morning and enjoy that fresh Montana powder. The ski parks at Big Sky and Moonlight Basin are just a little over an hour away; both offer incredible runs. And there are some nice trails nearby for cross-country skiers as well as those who like to snow shoe.

The Bozeman area has miles and miles of trails for hiking and biking. Gorgeous views are plentiful as well as waterfalls, aspen groves, and wildlife. If you want a western adventure, there are outfitters nearby who rent horses and will take you on a trail ride up into the mountains. Nearby towns also host old-fashioned rodeos during the summer, just like in the old days

No trip to Bozeman is complete without a walk along Main Street. There are many wonderful stores, great galleries featuring Montana artists, custom made jewelry with Montana Yogo Sapphires, unique clothing and accessories and home decorating items. Of course visiting the Powder Horn is a must! While strolling Main Street you can enjoy local Moo Casa Ice Cream, freshly roasted Rocky Mountain Coffee, or perhaps you would enjoy a Montana brew or maybe a glass of fine wine. And if you want to relax, there are several day spas for all your needs.
